It plays similar to a pedal steel with movements that are more fluid and less fixed because the instrument rests on the lap and moves with the movement of the legs.

If you’re coming from a lap steel, you can play as you normally would in E9 tuning and add pedal and lever movements as needed. 

If you’re coming from an E9 pedal steel with the same copedent, there’s just a slight difference in body movement.  Depending on the player, it can be adapted to quickly.

We’re not currently releasing the design but once the patent is approved the info will be public and we’ll be able to talk more about it.

If you need more info before you’re comfortable purchasing, it may be best to wait until we’re able to release the info.

For this first series, we are focusing on one copedent. If you’re interested in a custom copedent, contact us with your prefered 2P4K setup.

We don’t have a standard C6 option right now. If there’s enough interest, we may consider adding it in the future.

We would treat a C6 order as a custom copedent.

Our prices are posted for standard items. Any custom options are on a per request basis.

Tomorrow is a bit soon. These instruments are handcrafted and that takes time.  If you’d like to pay rush prices for every component and fabrication time, our guess is that it would more than double the cost of the instrument and certain finishes would not be available.  If this is something you’d like, contact us.

Most of us started on an old affordable guitar. It gives a good sense of what you’re in for without breaking the bank. If you’re comfortable with this size of investment and want to commit to this instrument immediately, we won’t stop you, but our reccomendation is to start with a traditional pedal steel to get your bearings. You can always add this as a tool in the kit instead of making this the whole kit.
